Applying for Endorsement
By law, the Michigan Public Service Commission is required to consider input from both MI-AIRS and any relevant multipurpose collaborative bodies before designating any agency as the 2-1-1 call center serving a geographic area. Accordingly, MI-AIRS has created an Application for Endorsement for the use of agencies seeking to become 2-1-1 call centers.
The "Application for MI-AIRS Endorsement As A 2-1-1 Call Center" is required for all call centers wishing to become MI-AIRS endorsed for 2-1-1 service. This application was last reviews in February of 2006 by the Board of Directors and is available in PDF format.
The "Application for MI-AIRS Endorsement As A 2-1-1 Call Center: Existing Call Centers Adding Counties to their Service Area" is required for all existing call centers wishing to add counties to their existing active 2-1-1 service area. This application was last revised in August of 2008 by the Board of Directors and is available in PDF format.
